Rossana Martinez and Matthew Deleget’s collaborative project consists of a performance entitled "Heart on Fire" and an installation entitled "Yellow Aid Station".
The performance consisted of a short run through the Parc de Bruxelles Warande, during which the artists wore monochrome running clothes — Rossana in orange and Matthew in red. Rossana started from one point of the park and Matthew from the opposite side. They ran towards each other until they met and ended the run with a kiss. The idea was to outline with two monochrome lines the architecture of the park. Documentation of the performance (maps, photos, etc.) is exhibited in the gallery.
In addition, they created an installation consisting of a runner’s "aid station", which is a long table filled with cups of liquid, usually water. In their installation, however, the aid station will consist of a table with a grid of cups filled with wine or beer, which will be consumed by the public during the opening. This work will be part installation, part performance.
