Monique Luchetti’s work investigates theatrical formal issues found in 14th and 15th century painting of color and space without the content of the images. Blurring the boundaries between 2d and 3d she merges sculpture and drawing. The wall, floor and corners of the room are incorporated into the sculpture, the room acting as a ground for the objects. Images, that are extending out into the viewers space, yet keep a sense of flatness.
